My media pyramid has strong foundations in word of mouth. My newly created twitter has opened up lots of opportunities for click throughs to articles that I can browse. I often get distracted by interesting links in the articles I click from the news sources I follow and forget that I was even on twitter in the first place. I use Google Reader to follow my favorite RSS feeds so that I don’t have to visit each website individually. I check in every day to get my updates. In the bottom right hand corner is a picture of me and my dad. I like to talk to him to hear about news stories I may not have picked up on, and what his opinions are on certain things.
On the next level, I have Facebook and NPR. When I see interesting posts on Facebook, I like to look further into it and sometimes end up reading articles or Google searching. NPR is my homepage right now and I usually spend some time browsing the headlines before I carry on to other websites.
Finally, when I’m in the car I like to scan back and forth between WTOP and my favorite country music stations.
